Mir Kim is a graphic designer based in Seoul. She studied Visual Communication Design at Kaywon University of Art & Design. Specializing in graphic and editorial design, she works across different formats and media. She explores the unique context of a subject, expands it through conceptual approaches, and uses that as material to shape immersive experiences.

최상의 결과물을 규정하긴 어려운 것 같습니다. 다만 저는 주어진 환경 위에서 최선의 전략을 발전시켜 나가는 태도로 작업에 임하고 있습니다. 시각물이 속하는 환경과 조건을 짚어보며 빠르게 돌아가고, 필연적으로 돌아가는 길목에서 드러나는 고유한 특성을 촘촘히 쌓고자 합니다. 또한 우연한 가능성 앞에서 균형을 잃지 않도록 분석적 논리와 교감적 감성을 기준 삼아 점검합니다. 시각물이 홀로 매력적이면서도 환경과 연계된 상호작용을 낼 수 있도록 기획하고자 하며, 무엇보다 여러 의도에 앞서 단편적으로 전달되는 인상 또한 중요하게 생각합니다.

It isn’t easy to define what the best outcome might be. Still, I try to approach my work by steadily shaping the best strategy I can within the conditions surrounding a project. I look closely at the environment and conditions surrounding each project, progressing quickly along a path without shortcuts. On the way, I gather the unique qualities that emerge. I also try to stay balanced when new ideas arise, weighing them with clear reasoning and empathetic sensitivity. I aim to design visuals that are independently engaging while interacting with their environment. At the same time, I value the first impression they leave, even before any intended message takes shape.
